Vocational Rehabilitation
Getting and keeping a job can be exceedingly difficult in most situations but when one is faced with health issues, this can create many barriers to being employed. Vocational rehab is the process in which someone with any health issue is empowered to stay at, return to and remain in work. We consider the individual’s physical, psychological and social needs when assessing and treating. Recommendations and treatment is geared towards overcoming any of the barriers that the person faces.

This process may include:
- Client assessment at home or work
- Workplace evaluation and job analysis
- Workplace modifications
- Stress management
- Career counselling and job placement services
- Goal setting and intervention planning
- Injury prevention
- Psychological intervention
- Dealing with the medical consequences of an injury or disability
- Support for self-management of health conditions
- Support and advice relevant to returning to work
- Support with retraining if needed
