Functional Rehabilitation
Occupational Therapy is about gaining independence in daily life and Functional Rehabilitation is our way to accomplish this
What is Functional Rehabilitation?
Functional rehabilitation geared towards achieving optimal independence in meaningful everyday activities. There are a variety of meaningful daily activities and each person prioritises them differently. For one person being able to wash independently would be more important than gardening or vice versa. We work with you in identifying your meaningful activities and developing a treatment plan to achieve them.
Our independence in daily activities can be effected by poor physical and/or mental health, recovering from injury, illness and/or surgery. Functional Rehabilitation can help you get back on your feet, learn new skills, develop the skills you have, build your confidence and empower your independence.
